Prairie Land is one of Alberta, Canada’s high performing school divisions as identified in Alberta Education’s accountability report. The division provides a wide range of academic courses and opportunities for international students who wish to integrate into our unique schools while gaining exposure to English language and Canadian culture. Prairie Land will ensure our international students have a valuable academic and cultural experience and will work hard to ensure the school placement matches each student’s interests and abilities. Prairie Land School Division offers students the full range of academic courses identified in the Alberta Education Program of Studies which lead to an Alberta Education grade 12 diploma.

The Prairie Land International Program offers unique, exciting, and community based opportunities to participants. The division serves a very large, sparsely populated area which spans over 9000 square kilometers in the southeastern part of Alberta (approximately 2 hours east of Calgary). Prairie Land schools offer a wide-variety of both curricular and extra-curricular programs that enhance the learning experience for all students. Schools strive to offer programs that enhance both the students’ lives and the communities they serve. It has been noted in the Alberta Education Accountability Pillar that both curricular and extra-curricular programming at Prairie Land Schools continue to thrive.
