Accomodation

Homestay

Students participating in Prairie Land International's Residency Programs will be billeted at carefully vetted local homes to provide them with genuine Canadian experiences. Homes may be located in towns/hamlets near the student's school, or on area farms and ranches. In the latter case, students will be transported to school by division owned and operated buses. Every effort will be made to accommodate student dietary and religious practices, subject to availability.

Homestay families will be carefully chosen through:

  • an interview process

  • reference checks

  • a Criminal Record check

  • a provincial Child Intervention Record check.
